Today I was reminded why I avoid this place.
The server was kind and eventually remembered my husbands soda and refills.
The food was not even subpar
I used to like it here a lot. But I think they have new owners and the food quality has dropped tremendously as well as the portions but the prices have gone up.
Super disappointed!
Grilled cheese wasn’t grilled at all!! Imitation cheese slices were not even melted! The $9 patty melt (requested with sour dough bread) came out with unmelted cheese, I grilled onions and rye bread. Not to mention the size was tiny as well as the amount of fries. My Ruben melt tasted good and was warm but was super small and in the picture you will see the amount of fries I received on my plate. I only had 3 fries before I took the picture.
In the last picture you will see the “remade” patty melt with the “butt” of the sourdough bread.
Well hopefully I can post pictures.

Staff were very nice and courteous, atmosphere was nice with a great view of the water, my daughter loved looking at the swans. The food looks appetizing... probably the blandest meal I've ever had, the best part was the toast.

Julie's Cafe has a unique atmosphere with it's location on the quarry pond. The food is reasonably priced and reasonably good. Their breakfast items are superb. Word of caution, don’t order the ribs. My ribs were over 70 percent fat.

Pancakes were HUGE and delicious! Nice atmosphere with an outdoor patio on the water. Friendly workers and our waitress was good. Prices are decent. We'll definitely be back!

Being in the middle of renovation & transfer probably impacted our visit, but the food was not good.
When I noticed that the hollandaise on my Benedict dish was broken I should have sent it back and gotten a pancake instead.
So far it's still Julie's, but $2 more per dish, worse food, square plates, and black chairs.
