Just had my eye exam and it was one of the most pleasant one Ive had! Willow (I believe that's her name) was a lot of fun to talk to, very kind and personable! Dr. Kyles was just as wonderful and was very comfortable to talk to! Can't recommend this one enough!

I stop in to have my eye glasses looked at since they were hurting my nose. Dennis (Optician) took a look at my glasses. He determined the nose pad no longer had the plastic piece but bare metal. He put a plastic piece on both nose pads. This resolved my issue. There was no charge for this service. Dennis was great to work with.

Dr. Samuels is a caring and compassionate optometrist. He listens and he shares detailed conversations about your eyes and how to care for them. He dials in a perfect prescription and double check himself with you to make sure you’re getting the best clarity out of your prescription. I cannot say enough good things about Him as a doctor and as a person. His knowledge is exceptional, and his delivery is relatable and understandable. The entire team at the Howard location and the Oneida Street location are always professional and kind. They listen to what you want to accomplish And also share options to consider. If you’re looking for an optometrist that treats you with respect and listens to your concerns, Dr. Samels and his team are definitely world class! I completely endorse them and I recommend them to everybody I can!!

The glasses, that I purchased at Modern Eyes in Howard, had gotten bent up while working. I stopped in to see if they could help me out. Dennis was an absolute pleasure to work with and he did a phenomenal job in putting them back into place. I can’t even tell that they had been bent up at all. I highly recommend this place as they have always, and continue to be an excellent place for all your eye care!

My daughter recently had her very first eye exam with Modern Eyes (Lineville location) and Dr. Jolly. Our experience was phenomenal from end to end. It was easy to schedule the appointment at a time that worked for us. As we waited in the lobby, everyone at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. Even though it wasn’t determined yet if my daughter would need glasses, I just had a suspicion she would need them. So, everyone at the front desk encouraged her to just try on any frames for fun. The optician, Mary, was so wonderful in helping my daughter narrow down the selection of frames. Mary made it fun and encouraged my daughter to try on as many frames as she wished and made fantastic recommendations. Then we went in for our pre exam diagnostics which were completed in a friendly and welcoming manner. We went to the exam room and Dr Jolly was great in examining my daughter and ultimately determined that a prescription was needed. She was friendly, inquisitive, thorough, and kind. We then went out to finalize the selection of frames and another optician, Jenny, completed the order for frames and lenses with one of the pairs we had previously narrowed down with Mary. (See the picture - don’t they look great?!!) My daughter asked every day if the glasses order was ready- and then, a few days later I received a text that they had arrived! We then went to pick them up and a young man, I forget his name unfortunately, helped ensure that they fit properly and explained the proper care for the lenses and frames and how she might get adjusted to wearing them. Everyone we encountered and who helped us was genuinely helpful and excited for my daughter to get her first pair of glasses. For some, getting glasses can be a challenging or difficult time. But, for my daughter, it was a wonderful experience, her eyes are cared for, and she is blown away amazed with how much better she can see outside, at home, and at school. Her math teacher even mentioned how it’s made a difference for her in class and being able to participate. It has been a joy to see my daughter be so excited at how much better she sees and she really loves how the glasses look on her. I do too!
I’ve been a patient for a while- and have had other eye clinics in other places I’ve lived- and all of my experiences at Modern Eyes have been wonderful for myself, too. I probably should have written a review sooner. But, having such an excellent experience for my daughter really took it over the top for me. We are so thankful for the fine care and service we have received.
