The atmosphere was upscale and the volume was conversational at the loudest, very much a fine restaurant. The view was stellar. The food was matching in terms of quality. The cheese curds were lightly battered and fried, using real, high quality cheese. The french onion soup was savory and delicious. The pistachio encrusted halibut was rich, flavorful, and firm. The mousse was decadent and hearty. Service was good, and while there were a couple of mistakes with our order they were fixed immediately by staff without any questions asked. Our server was charismatic and funny but not overbearing. Drinks came in a timely manner. Your mileage may vary on service, but it surely won't on taste.

Great outdoor seating. Good food. Loved the spinach salad and chicken Wellington. The waiter really tried to take care if our every need. Banana cream pie was the finishing touch.

Make a reservation to enjoy a lovely dinner. Seating is a little tight inside, food was great, and service was impeccable. Beef Wellington was melt in your mouth delicious.

We had the best breakfast ever last Friday! Everything we had to eat and drink was perfect and the service was great also. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat the view is lovely too.

We ate at the English Inn for brunch last weekend, and I loved it. There was music playing, but it was quiet overall. The staff was on top of things. There was no waiting for anything. I didn't realize how amazing the view out back was, and I know we will return and eat outdoors when it warms up. Our food was excellent, and the portions were huge. Definitely recommend.
